Helleborus x hybridus ‘Harvington Double Apricot’
£ 6.50 – £ 11.75 inc. VAT
Delicate shades of apricot adorn ‘the flamboyantly ruffled petals of ‘Harvington Double Apricot” (Val Bourne, ‘The English Garden’), which come alive in the winter sun.
Helleborus x hybridus ‘Harvington Double Apricot’ is just one variety of the Harvington Hellebores® collection. They are excellent, easy to grow perennial plants that are frost hardy. They reliably come back year after year, whilst their glossy, evergreen foliage provides year-round interest.
Hellebores look particularly attractive against planting companions such as Anemone, as well as Daffodils and Snowdrops. They create the perfect ground cover for areas of dappled shade, such as borders, under deciduous trees and shrubs, but will also thrive in patio pots.
Which is the best option for me – Pot or Plug?
Harvington Hellebores® in pots are established plants, which are ready to plant directly into your garden or a larger container, flowering within a year or two. If you have never grown a hellebore before then we would recommend you buy one as a 9cm pot.
Harvington Hellebores® as plugs are young seedling plants that need to establish a stronger root system before being planted out. They will take a couple of years of care before flowering. Watching a plug grow can be very rewarding for the keen gardener, as well as offering great value for money.
