Harvington Erythronium – a true family affair.

Posted on: 17th April 2025 by Debbie

In 2023 Twelve Nunns introduced three new members of the Harvington Erythronium family. Each species has been named after a family member of Hugh Nunn, namely his wife, Elizabeth, and two of his grand daughters, Imogen and Lilli. Elizabeth set up the original nursery alongside Hugh over 30 years ago and still supports the running of Twelve Nunns today. Both Imogen and Lilli have also worked on the nursery during school and university holidays. Twelve Nunns continues to truly be a family affair.

It has taken over 20 years of careful, meticulous selection and propagation, enabling us to offer you the opportunity to enjoy these beautiful Erythronium in your garden. Here are Elizabeth, Imogen and Lilli……

We are passionate about our Erythronium, they have everything, grace, poise and charm. Alys Fowler wrote in more detail about our Twelve Nunns breeding programme in ‘Gardeners Illustrated’ as part of their 30th anniversary edition in 2023.
